Dear Ralph,
I agree, that the Maerklin catalogue is in fact a very helpful instrument for
any (LEGO) train fan. Nowadays the internet may substitute this a lot, but still
it is hard to find such a nice collection of different style rolling stock (and
additioally there is information about the prototypes, the times, the train
History etc).
Regaring the BBB-wheels, LEGO should consider to sell them (or at least promote
and advertise for them). Whenever Ben sells a few wheels for a few $, LEGO gets
into the deal with bricks that are worth 10 time that amount of money.
They should even consider to make L-gauge an open source system. Even if I could
buy track from a third party supplier - in the end my buildings next to the
track will be LEGO. Same for the engine on top of any third party motors etc...
LEG GODT!
Ben
