It would be nice to have a single document that captures the different
techniques that various clubs have used for modules.

That would be cool.

And with that
acompaniing pros & cons list by the clubs that use each respective
technique. This would be handy for new clubs that are making this decision.
As new clubs come online module design should hopefully evolve. PNLTC is
continuelly looking for new and inovative modeule design (since Ben is
thinking about buying a new car*).

There are many considerations in building modules: cost,
complelity/difficulty of construction, ease of setup, size, transportation,
attaching of skirting, plexi-bariers, wire routing etc...

Our current module design is posted here:
http://www.niltc.org/standards/table/

The recommended table design will be changing soon.

Our track standards have changed, we're now 8 studs in-between the rails.

One thing about our club is there's no table standard. We have standards
each table has to conform to when lining up with other tables, but our
tables don't all have to be made a certain way. Each club member is
responsible for his/her (no female members yet) own tables. Some design
theirs to break into 2 pieces for easier transporting in small cars.

With our up and coming designs, there will be standard hole locations to
attach plexi. I'm not really involved in the details of deciding this in the
club, since I'm construction-illiterate. BUT - Tom brought this topic up to
me, and so I figured I'd get it going online.
