I personally find that the "lego style" I chose was based on space and amount of legos. I have few of either, so in many cases throughout my town layout, my buildings looked like TLC style. However, buildings that could be viewed from all sides had (...) (23 years ago, 27-Jun-01, to lugnet.town)

At our recent train show, NCLUG had all styles represented. I had large but open-back buildings, next to Jimmy's closed-back Lego-set sized buildings, next to Frank's Paradisa sets, next to Mike Walsh's closed-back buildings, etc. It worked together (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jun-01, to lugnet.town)

If you are building for shows, using the facade pattern means that you can get more buildings in (all the buildings at the back are just facades and thus take up less space...) Totally (...) Very Nice! I'm glad to see more folks building town stuff! I really like the white with the trans-blue windows. It can be tricky mixing trans-blue with the clear, but I think you pulled it off nicely! The diamond window is a nice touch. Amy Hughes (...) Brilliant! I dont comment on many MOCs, but this one deserves it. I love the diamond window, and I think the overall structure is very bold.
