This comment, and similar ones from others, brings a question to mind...

How many people store their minifigs assembled, and how many break them
down into parts for storage?

Me, I break my minifigs down and separately store torsos/arms/hands,
legs/hips, heads, and accessories (includes hats, hair, and helmets). I
once thought about breaking them down into all separatable parts, but I
decided that would increase needed storage space too much to be
worthwhile.

(...) I *still* keep the minifigs in their original combinations. May be because I treated them like living people when I was a kid... Break them apart kind of "kill" them you know... ^_^; In the future I certainly will not pull the heads, arms and (...) (24 years ago, 11-Jul-00, to lugnet.storage)

(...) As I break down sets, usually the minifigs get sorted as torso+arms+head and legs+hips. I only remove arms from torsos, and legs from hips when I am in the process of customizing. When I wash LEGO, the heads come off also. Sometimes when (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jul-00, to lugnet.storage)

Shiri, Here's a few pics of my building area: (URL) use Plano tackle boxes for storing my specialty parts. Technic stuff goes in ZAG containers (the blue and red ones on the table). I also have my mini-figs in one drawer of the larger ZAG (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jun-00, to lugnet.storage)
