The 2001 lineup (list on FBTB) —Bryan Hodges
Well, I noticed that the 2001 lineup has been posted over at From Bricks to Bothans, so I guess it's okay to discuss now... just in case though I'll speak in generalities... <G> I'll discuss in the order listed on FBTB: 1) This one's not a big (...)         Re: The 2001 lineup (list on FBTB) —Eric Kingsley
(...) I don't know what this is exactly either. The only thing that comes to mind is a heavily juniorised version of the Droid Landing Craft. (...) I wouldn't get your hopes up too much. I expect to be disappointed with this one based on its price (...) (24 years ago, 18-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Just post a link like mine: (URL) has _publicly stated_ that such a link is OK. Perhaps a link to the FBTB site would be nice (I don't have it bookmarked) James (24 years ago, 18-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) I think this is a small hover cart type thing. The main interest is that it will be cheap and will have plenty of battle droids. (...)      This new list with figure information just doesn't make sense to me. . . (...) Yes, we did.      (...) I think this is referring to the Droid speeder, which was never used in the film.      [Snip] (...) like (...) NOOOOOOOO! Trans-red. I must be trans-red if it is done like the Boba Fett and Scout troopers. Royal Guards have red visors NOT BLACK. Did I metion it must be trans-red?       (...) Uh... I've seen the costume. Up close. Had my picture taken with it. The "visors" are black. The Magic of the Myth... it was awesome, I suggest you see it.       (...) right. (...) Huh? Every scene in ESB and ROTJ has the visors as Trans-red. The 50 US$ helment for sale at Halloween has a trans-red visor.            Re: The 2001 lineup (list on FBTB) —Mark Sandlin
I just looked at Starwars.com, and they show a red visor, or at least, the shadowed face of the guard appears as if the visor were red. (URL) looks better, IMHO, but there could be more than one visor color. Maybe it's a smoky red color so it (...) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: The 2001 lineup (list on FBTB) —Karim Nassar
(...) I think what you are seeing there is red reflections in the visor. Those aren't facial features, I think. It may be black with a trans-red coating, in which case it would look black but occasionally reflect red. I've seen some motorcycle (...) (24 years ago, 23-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: The 2001 lineup (list on FBTB) —Eric Joslin
(...) You might be surprised. Putting the "UFO" alien helmet on a trans-orange head produces a very dark eyesocket. The visor slit for the Imperial Guard would probably be about the same size. If they actually made it trans-red, it would come out (...) (24 years ago, 23-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: The 2001 lineup (list on FBTB) —Bryan Hodges
(...) You're right about this, but you have to remember that the UFO helmets put some distance between the head and the slits... this allows for shadowing.
