New Pictures of 2000 SW sets —Jason Carter
Hey everyone, over at rebelscum.com they have some new pictures up. The A- wing, B-wing set(looks pretty cool), Flash Speeder, Kaadus, Slave 1, and the Tatooine Skiff. The Skiff set looks really small, maybe its just me. It seems all the sets (...) (25 years ago, 21-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: New Pictures of 2000 SW sets —Eric Joslin
(...) Wow! Thanks! I was worried about how these sets would look after I saw the Slave I kit. But look at these! They're all pretty nice, IMHO. Certainly AFOLs have done better, but these aren't too shabby. eric (25 years ago, 21-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: New Pictures of 2000 SW sets —Christopher Lannan
Hi all, This is my first post though I've been reading for a while. I have to say that all of these sets look ok, but they are dissapointing compared to the original SW Classic sets. IMHO, the episode 1 sets were good as well, but not as good as the (...) (25 years ago, 21-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: New Pictures of 2000 SW sets —Jason Fabisch
(...) After seeing these models, I am absolutely dreading seeing what kind of a butchering job they are going to do on the Falcon. Where is the mid sized model we are always used to. Nothing is really bigger than the Xwing kit. I am hoping something (...) (25 years ago, 21-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: New Pictures of 2000 SW sets —James Simpson
(...) I have to agree that there is reason to be concerned about the Falcon. My prediction: great pieces, severely under-scaled. I don't think that it is possible to do the Falcon justice (Minifig scale) with less than a thousand pieces, but, (...) (25 years ago, 21-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: New Pictures of 2000 SW sets —Peter Callaway
(...) Guys, I'm trying desperately to confirm this, but I think they already have a MF kit in pre-production. A good friends father did some senior consulting work for TLG, and as a little bonus they offered him the kit of his choice (on top of his (...) (25 years ago, 21-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) At this point they better have an MF kit in prepro, or they'd never be able to deliver it in time. Especially considering it's going to be a *big* set (even if it's butchered, it's still going to be huge). (...) Yep. If they're advertising it (...)         Re: New Pictures of 2000 SW sets —James Brown
(...) Cool! Thanks for the heads-up. Hard to say from the pictures so far, but it sure looks like the 2000 sets are less appealing than this years.          Re: New Pictures of 2000 SW sets —Scott Edward Sanburn

(...) Hmm... I'm kinda dissapointed, overall. Let's look at each one individually.       (...) Oops, forgot to mention why I was disappointed overall. It is because of the three big sets I was looking forward to, two are very poor renditions.      7134 A-Wing Actually the size is correct - counting studs and compareing it to the 9.6 meters of the 'full' size A-Wing that's one of the only new sets they managed to get right :) Dark grey and blue bricks I don't get that either - I would REALLY (...)      (...) Not bad, not bad. My biggest suprise was the Flash Speeder. That looks like a really cool set. The A-Wing? Could have been a little bigger, but I like it. The B-Wing?         Who is the Rebellion supposed to fight?!? —Joel Kuester
(...) Just took a look at the new sets... the Slave 1 is starting to grow on me now that I've had a second look.
