Is it just me or does the Flash Speeder come with two 4x4 hinge plates and two
1x4 plates with horizontal hinges? I don't know the names sorry - really basic
pieces though (4x5 when put together). It'll be great to have a ready
supply of these in green - secret entrances for Jungle minifigs to find etc :)

I think it's just you  :)
The 4 x 4 plates on the engines look to me
like they are just normal plates.
I think you are talking about the hinge plates
that Gasgano's pod racer has (I think) 8 of in green.

as for macaroni parts that other guy was asking about,
the front of the engines are not macaroni parts.
if you look really close you can tell they are actually
the 1x2 half-round-top parts that make up the base of the
laser on the rear of the ship and they are laying on their
side facing each other with a ribbed tile peice to smooth
out the front of the engine.  I thought at first they were
macaroni parts too.

looking forward to getting a few of these sets...

later!
