Me too. Elections are complex enough as is, no need to make it more
confusing for the people with indirect voting. What you get is in fact not
people's wishes.

support for ratification.

Yep. I've actually spent the past few weeks learning about that. I'm pretty
lucky, I have a really good US history teacher, and I not only understand
what she teaches but actually am interested in it.

(...) A trivia point: The first woman to get an Electoral College vote... was no Geraldine Ferraro! It was a Libertarian, several elections earlier. Of course, after that electoral college voter voted his conscience, the laws of his state were (...) (24 years ago, 7-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)
