A really cool bridge (in a number of ways) is the Confederation Bridge that
links P.E.I. to the rest of Canada. I learned about it from a case study of
good engineering, and it's also a strong case for good economics and
feasability of privatization. I haven't checked out the site much, but at a
quick skim it seems to cover some of the salient bits...

I just went and checked a few sites: (URL) (this is the Bridge Authority site) The bridge was built in the mid 1950s at a cost of ~70-100M in mid 50s dollars. (...)
