That's not my intent at all. I'm sure we all could find other things to do
with our time if much of our resposibility were removed.

Comprehension has nothing to do with it in my mind. I've seen the question
arise about how women and minorities "don't get" or "can't comprehend" a
theory or political standing. That is very offensive. Just because I *can*
get and *can* comprehend a political or economic theory doesn't mean that I
will participate in either activity. I personally feel that I have more
important things to do that try to punch my way through red tape to further
a political agenda. I can only assume that there are women and minorities
out there who feel the same way.

Point taken. I have been speaking out of turn and inferring quite a bit.

I have been keeping on top of this thread for a while now. I am not an LP
member, but I do happen to agree with a few things the party supports. My
political standing is more-or-less a mish-mash of views from different
parties which I choose to make known on voting day.
I'm not trying to stir the pot too much (maybe it's to late to make that
statement). I'm just trying to make a point that just because someone
chooses not to act doesn't mean that they were incapable if logically making
the choice in the first place.

| (...) What I don't get is how people can't seem to comprehend that I didn't say that. You went right by my explanation of the whole quote and used the out-of-context quote again. That a mistake was made is okay, but the same one over and over? I (...) (23 years ago, 19-Jun-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)
