A certain group of non-clone users may fall into that group, but I suspect it’s less an issue than you seem to suspect. Some people avoid clones because they feel that they’re violating TLC’s patent rights, others avoid them because they either choose to endorse the actions of TLC or not endorse the actions (or possibly lack thereof) of various clone producers (Nike makes a high-quality shoe, but many people choose to avoid buying anything from them for purely political reasons, and the same certainly holds true for brick purchases). That’s just a couple of possible reasons, but I’m sure there are more. Assuming that the choice to avoid clone brands is solely based on not knowing of the level of quality is about as accurate as assuming that someone votes Republican or Democrat solely based on their stance on the abortion issue. Some do, but many don’t.
