Huh... didn't know that... I wonder if putting a link would be ok, seeing as
it's not content which should fall under jurisdiction of Ebay-- tho the link
itself would be... Something along the lines of:
"<a href=www.walmart.com>Click here to see where I got this dirt cheap</a>"
or:
"<a href=my_page>Click here to see where I got this item</a>"
As opposed to saying:
"Click here to see where YOU can get this item dirt cheap"...
Then on that link (no longer being under Ebay's jurisdiction), you could say
"I got X for a cheap price, and you can too-- see: www.walmart.com". Hmm...
'Course that's just a guess-- Maybe Ebay would prevent you from making that
link? I dunno... I haven't made a full read through the Ebay TOS (obviously)...

Well, that's good enough for me-- I just ratted on him. I think. I'm still
rather new to reporting this sort of thing to Ebay...

| (...) Well-- I just heard back from Ebay and they seem to disagree... they said "We have ... determined that the auction falls within our policy guidelines"... they didn't really say why or anything... DaveE (24 years ago, 9-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.auction)

| DaveE and Bryan Wong (1) together have it backwards. Putting information in the listing about where to get it cheaper *is* against the eBay TOS. Example provided by DaveE (quoted below). Offering the same item for less than someone else *is not* (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.auction)
