Manfred, your point (downthread) is well taken, these questions have potentially
been overlooked.
I am not Jake so dont take these as authoritative answers but some of this was
covered on the recent GlobalAFOL conference: I hope Jake chooses to expand or
correct where I have misspoken.

Questions:
Is the distribution of the comic a North-America exclusive only?
|
It is my understanding that at this time the hardcopy distribution is. It is in
English only. I know of at least one fan that is considering having a box
obtained in Arlington shipped to Europe. The press run is not very big overall
anyway. If you have someone going to BrickFest from your club you could obtain a
box or half box that way.
|
Any chance
to see it at a future event outside the USA?
|
I understand that Jake is actively seeking volunteer translators. He has
developed (or is in process of developing) a template to make translation
easier. Whether that becomes hardcopy or just an additional PDF in a new
language is a budget question but the current understanding is that it would not
be any earlier than next year.

Jake, when our LUG visited headquarters in Billund,
|
Color me jealous there!

I saw one these gags
printed in the company in-house magazine LEGO LIFE. Im curious, did you
recieve any reactions from your colleages that prehaps youre willing to
share with us?
|
Jake indicated that he did get a lot of positive reactions and that he feels the
internal version achieved the first goal which was to increase awareness and
appreciation of us in the company.
(remember, I have always in the past speculated that not everyone that works in
LEGO in Denmark is necessarily as fanatic as we are... some people may just see
it as a chance to work for Denmarks most well known or most important company
rather than realisation of a lifes dream...)
|
With friendly greetings, M. Moolhuysen.
|
Hope that helps.
On a side note the comic is oversubscribed already unless we have misunderstood
how many boxes are available to us at BrickFest. That means that there will be
an allocation process. Please do not be upset if you do not get as many as you
requested. Please do not be upset if you are asked to validate what club you are
associated with.
