Larry, Thank you very much for picking it up from the twister debris trail.
Despite you not being Jake and having to answer indirectly, your post has been
very helpfull for me.

I understand that Jake is actively seeking volunteer translators. He has
developed (or is in process of developing) a template to make translation
easier. Whether that becomes hardcopy or just an additional PDF in a new
language is a budget question but the current understanding is that it would
not be any earlier than next year.

I'm interested in participation with such a project.

Jake indicated that he did get a lot of positive reactions and that he feels
the internal version achieved the first goal which was to increase awareness
and appreciation of us in the company.

Manfred, your point (downthread) is well taken, these questions have potentially been overlooked. I am not Jake so don't take these as authoritative answers but some of this was covered on the recent GlobalAFOL conference: I hope Jake chooses to (...) (20 years ago, 15-Jul-04, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.lego, FTX)
