One thing to remember the Video tape format is different in the USA versus • Europe.  I
found that out many years ago when I took a family video tape with me to my • cousin in
Germany.  The tape went into their VCR OK, but it played garbage.  From • what I
remember, you would need a US VCR and a European VCR and copy a tape from • one format
to the other.

You are right, the difference is NTSC (US) and PAL (Europe) systems. But
already all the TVs and VCRs made today has multi system capability?..At
least here it is, maybe since satellite broadcasts are also popular.

(...) Here (U.S.), you can get TV's and VCR's with multiple capabilities like NTSC, PAL, SECAM, etc. But those are special products that cost extra. Most sets just have the standard NTSC. -- Terry K -- (25 years ago, 11-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)
