I was feeling a little bored, so I decided to do a quick inventory of parts.
Based on what instruction manuals I have, and unopened boxes, I came up with a
grand total of around 34000 pieces.  (not counting a bunch of silver buckets
and assorted sets I still intend to part out)

Wow.  I thought it would be so much more.  It sure didn't add up as fast as I
thought it would.  I am humbled by all you out there with the mega collections.
OTOH, I checked my Roll-Call entry, and at that time (June 97 - wow 2 years
ago),  I guestimated it to be around 17000.  Probably not a bad guess at the
time.

Hi all, Terry K wrote, (...) Theres even an easier way, every kilo of unsorted LEGO bricks, contains 1000 pieces. Youll have to through everything in an box or but every box apart and make an total. An box of coins or flowers will set the counter (...) (25 years ago, 11-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)
