I think this is a wonderful idea. I think it would be a much better item for
kids to collect than Bonicle. I also think that a tub like 3033 with grey,
dark grey, brown, and tan as the four primary colors would be a "bestseller."
I for one highly doubt that 3033 is a loss leader. I mean come on, Mega Blocks
is lower quality. It is not that much lower though. Mega Blocks has R & D and
printing cost just like Lego. So a Mega Blocks battleship w/ 780pcs @ $20 vs.
the equivalent (If TLC still made any) Lego set @ $80-$90. So there is a
$70-$80 differnce in material cost? Yeah right. The tub has no R & D costs
and minimal printing costs. Two Mega Blocks tubs with 1400pcs @ $20 vs. a
Lego tub with 1200pcs @ $20 is probably the best indicator of the material cost
difference.
