Hmm.. I can't sign that, but I agree that it's not restrictive enough.
A few years ago, a somewhat similar law was passed here. However, it's
a lot more restrictive. I believe the rule is that all cash
transactions above $20.000 or so should be reported. Especially
currency-changing ones, which were being extensively used as
drug-money-laundering schemes. Now, I'm not sure how it is in the US,
but here, "normal" people don't often use cash for transactions like
that. You're either talking about tax-evasion, or other illegal
activities, most of the time.
