Maxifigs apparently pre-date the "everyone is yellow" rule -- the Red Indians
are literally Red. It's pretty funny, in a non-PC way.

I'm a big fan of making minifigs as generic as possible (yay for smileys!).
Give them character with their outfits, hairstyle and setting. Even with a bit
of lipstick or a moustache (and when will we see a face with both?), the range
of possibilities leaves the macho Technic men and Aryan Belville nightmare for
dead.
