On that note, someone applying for posting privileges under the email
address legoshop@aol.com today was just denied, after a bit of
investigation.
In light of LEGO Direct's recent appearance, and www.legoworldshop.com's
recent closing, the potential for confusion is extremely high, especially
considering that the legoshop@aol.com address was connected to a site
www.legoshop.com -- a very official-sounding (but actually unofficial) site.
I wrote back and pointed him to TLC's Fair Play page and to Suzanne's
Legopolis->Baseplate info page[1] and he indicated that he was unaware of
these and that he would soon be moving his site in order to respect TLC.
With Brad, BTW, it did strike me as very odd to see someone applying from a
lego.com address having an American-sounding name, but the IP address he did
it from was indeed inside the lego.com domain, so it wasn't something of
immediate obvious concern.

| (...) Todd didn't come out and say so in so many words in a post here, but if Todd had doubts about his bonafides Todd would never have approved his posting privileges. Those are the dots I connected, and those dots were there for you or anyone else (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)
