I just meant to say that Acrobat Reader isn't so speedy.  Microsoft handles
HTML files, natively, so it's a little bit quicker on the fly than Acrobat.
Maybe there's some LINUX or Mac analogue?  Then, you wouldn't have to format
for three different applications.  After all, if it's formatted to Microsoft
Help (or some other program that functions like it) it will automatically
work on the web by Tim Courtney's very own standards.

Tim Courtney:
The neat thing about the way the LDraw.org HTML pages are constructed is - the
body text is its own include file.  So you get a file for the body with just
paragraph, link, and image tags versus any formatting.  Some pages have single
tables around the includes, but I will be changing that as I modify pages so
evnetually all pages on the server's bodies will be a separate minimal HTML
include file.

I'm sorry if I've "flamed" you in any way.  I didn't really mean any offense.

Properly created PDF files are compact, quick and infinately
cross-platform...perfectly formatted and ready to print via the greatest
built-in software print rasterizer known to computing.

Th interface is lowsy, the browser slows down my system.

Well sure, what plug-in doesn't? You're splitting the resources of the
processor to deliver content within a framework already delivering content,
all while connected to the Internet! (And the interface just requires
learning...it's fairly basic, really)

Instead of relying on the browser plug-in, especially on an older system,
download the file and keep it locally, then view it in the actual Reader
utility...you'll be much happier. (Of course, you'll note that it takes the
same amount of time to download the file whether you are using the plug-in
or not, it'll just SEEM faster in the long run!) Besides, we're talking
delivery of content that you would use off-line anyway, right? It's not like
you'd want to be running your LDraw tools and have a live connection to the
Internet...you'd want those files local for zippy access.

Now if we cold just have everyone who is writing all these 'NICE REMARKS' to each other to devote that much time to tutorials we would be done a lot quicker.
