Come check out (and download the .dat file) of the new hovertank at my site.
It's the latest from Peregrin-Westar Intergalactic.

I like how you dealt with putting bricks along the diagonal edges.  I've
been trying deal with that problem for a while.

Hey!  Your tank is asymmetric!  Well, not exactly.  It's more like the
studs on the main flat surface aren't aligned normal to the fore-aft
axis, right?

Right. Symmetrical yes, but all the base pieces are rotated 45 degrees around
their respective y-axes. With respect to the model, the picture shows the
turret rotated 45 degrees. It was much faster to design the tank that way to
get the same design. I concluded if someone actually checked out the .dat file
or built it, they'd figure it out.

I had that funky shovel-dozer Aquaraiders set just waiting around to be taken
apart. Playing with the plates for the top of the base gave me the shape - I
just didn't care which way the studs were as long as could get some symmetry.

p.s. Steve, thanx for all the hard work you put into ldraw!
