That's not my point - I was just saying you can put whatever (text) files
you want into an MPD. That's very similar to a file directory, because
there is not implied relation between the files in a directory (except that
they're all in the same directory).
In order to render files out of such a conglomerate MPD, you'd have to
extract the files. It's not too hard to imagine a front-end program that
extracts and renders files from an MPD. And once you've got that program,
you could have the front-end program analyze the files, and present the
user with a folders-and-files view of the MPD.
