Hi all, I just finished a new mecha. (...) I would suggest that you start by practicing curved shapes using only regular bricks. Try making circles of different diameters, and once you have that mastered, try to make a sphere (ball) shape. I think that this is the most important skill (...) Here's my entry for the 2002 town contest. It's a model of the Grand Haven lighthouse in Grand Haven, Michigan. I don't know what category it should fit in, since it's basically two small buildings on 4 baseplates. I guess I'll let Kevin make the (...) (URL) here's a general purpose mech. That means a grunt's mech. Sort of like the jeep. It's meant to do it all, from construction duty to front line combat duty. In case anyone's interested, I've created a brickshelf folder with version 2 of the Jeep Cherokee. It features larger balloon tires, cosmetic shocks, a modified steering system, and a reinforced front bumper (which you can't see, but it's there (...) (23 years ago, 17-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

This is so strange for me to build multiples of a mech. But here they are. Something about the poseability that gets me. Even if it's missing a couple of ranges of movement. Eric, I was re-reading the part on you site about the shipping of un-glued models. One trick I found that works well (mainly trains, but should work for other models as well) is to wrap the models in Saran <sp> Wrap or Kitchen Cling Wrap, whatever (...) (23 years ago, 16-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

I've added a new section in the GS for all of the lowlife(forms) in the galaxy: The Black Hole. You'll find it in the Character section along with the Pilots and Captains. This plane was the first monoplane fighter to go into production and the first all metal plane to enter US Army service. René, the splash page is way to wide for that... When viewing it in 800x600 then one has to scroll all the time because of the bricklink menu to the left making it horrible to read!
