That IS cool. I can't wait to see what they come up with. I am looking
forward to more great ideas on how to make interesting layouts w/o the loss
of flexibility and huge brick requirement.

Yes, this is partly the case. However, in addition to decreasing the number
of bricks required, I believe I have also gained some portability and at
least some increased level of modularity.
Also, after talking with Steve about this some today at lunch, I believe I
have probably given the wrong impression about the setup time involved.
I haven't done an exhaustive study on this, but I would guess that at the
shows I have been involved in, that we probably average about 1 man hour of
setup time per module. For example, if we have 20 tables at a show, it
probably takes 5 of, us 4-5 hours to get the whole thing set up. Of course,
this includes putting up the tables, populating them with track, buildings,
scenery and people, putting up Plexiglas barriers, placing skirting around
the tables and putting gutters on the kid's railroad section.
So, looking at that as our benchmark, the setup time for my module is not
way out of proportion to the rest of the layout. Its certainly longer, but
not by an order of magnitude. Probably not even double.
Just out of curiosity, how long does it take to setup the GMLTC layout? I'm
assuming it will be much less time, but there must be some setup time
involved. I'd just like to know what kind of setup times you might be
comparing this to.
Thanks for the kind words.
