Funny you say urban combat, I always pictures this as a desert (or any other wide open space in which a sniper-like mecha can just pick off enemies), or jungle (lots of nice cover, again, here sniper-like mecha has and advantage) (...) Woo hoo! :^D This is a really nice one! It doesn't look as big as the others, but it has a really eye pleasing look to it. HOLY COW! Dang, this is too sweet Chris. The amount of articulation you packed into this relatively small model is amazing. After working out the kinks in MLCAD (which I discovered a few months ago, much to the detriment of my free time), I put together a nice set of non-transformable Macross VF's in fighter mode that I'm quite proud of. I haven't read every message in this thread, but I felt the need to respond to this message. The amount of time that is spent on a model should be immaterial to the appeal of the model itself. I think what some of the advanced builders in this forum are criticizing in this model is the uneven design. Trying to overcome issues of supporting large amounts of weight is a major factor in mech building. Although I don't (...) I think the idea here is that he made creative use of the pieces he had rather than going out and spending a bunch of money to get pieces. My personal building style is in mini-fig scale with lots of detail, but that doesn't mean I dislike other (...) (23 years ago, 21-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

I'm sure everyone will be very surprised, but... I agree with Mladen in this instance. Yeah, maybe he didn't pull any punches, but I have to say that I agree with his general sentiment. Do you have some obsession with size? I'm sorry to say this... But I'm not really that inspired or amazed by your Gundam. I mean sure the size is huge, but what else is there. These are teriffic! You really are a good builder! wow, that be great to have that 4 foot awesome gundam hang'n out in my office area! Macross Plus is chronologically earlier in the Macross timeline, and the YF-19 is of course the prototype of the F-19 used in the chronologically later Macross 7. (...) (...) Kyle, Thanks for the kudo! As for the Sony... I have a DSC-S70, a fantastic camera at a depressingly high price. But the quality is worth it. I've already reduced the strength of the flash (the icon shows up with a "-" next to it), but there's (...) Thanks Paul, that's exactly what I needed to see. Yes, these creatorfigs do seem to be larger than normal minifigs and smaller than Belville. They seem to be on the same scale as Fabuland minifigs. Heres a new light freighter I've been working on. The interior isn't finished but I thought I'd show what I'd done so far. (URL) ship is supposed to look as patched together as possible. Mark, Thank you! My first intent with the Redoubt was to construct a Constitution-class ship... but found the secondary hull a little TOO clunky and went with the Miranda-class ship instead.
