I haven't read every message in this thread, but I felt the need to respond to this message. The amount of time that is spent on a model should be immaterial to the appeal of the model itself. I think what some of the advanced builders in this forum are criticizing in this model is the uneven design. I think the idea here is that he made creative use of the pieces he had rather than going out and spending a bunch of money to get pieces. My personal building style is in mini-fig scale with lots of detail, but that doesn't mean I dislike other (...) (23 years ago, 21-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

Mark, Thank you! My first intent with the Redoubt was to construct a Constitution-class ship... but found the secondary hull a little TOO clunky and went with the Miranda-class ship instead.
