Just a quick note for this morning. I'm currently capturing and upload
pictures of Burp Mountain, featured in the recent town building contest, in
which I was awarded 3rd place for the 'Structures' category. These pictures
are the current (more detailed) previously seen rendition of the mountain. I
wanted to get these out before it is redesigned for Brickfest 2001. Here's

That's excellent, Richard.

That's the kind of thing I'd love to do, but on a smaller scale due to a
lesser amount of BURPs than you have. ;)

Thanks for the kind words.

I have an unrelated question though - In your brickshelf account - under the
FFIPS folder - are those rounded jet canopies actual LEGO pieces? If so,
from which sets? I don't recognize them.. If this has already come up in
other groups, I apologize for dragging it up once more. :)

Ummmm... No. They are not 'real' Lego pieces. I'm corrupt, and been that way
for many, many years. They are Mega Blok canopies. The exhaust ports on the
craft are as well. There are other pieces on each craft that are 'unpure'.

I've been told by the President and CEO of FFIPS Co.® (that's Fun For
InterPlanetory Space ™) Ivator Spprellentok, that their company embraces
alien technology, and exploits all of it's best features to produce sturdy,
sleek aerospace frames for the transportation needs of the galaxy. FFIPS Co.
(that's Fun For InterPlanetory Space ™), also provides a cleaner alternative
to nasty Spam Cake technology by using trisodiumdiclorimethaline (sp)
crystals to power it's craft. (Mr. Spprellentok says, "If you have ever
changed the oil in your car, you know the nasty mess that you get when you
change out your spam cake in your engine housing inside a SPIFF Craft ®.
Yiick! And then there is the disposal problem. And if you think using
Spam-Anti Spam, the problem doubles, because, who wants radio active sludge
left over from that, with the half-life of 10,000 years?")

I hear that Mr. Spprellentok will have a full press release soon.

(...) Ah... that would explain it. I've no problem with Alien technology.. I just couldn't bring myself to integrate it. :) Joel J (23 years ago, 17-May-01, to lugnet.build)
