I think the idea here is that he made creative use of the pieces he had
rather than going out and spending a bunch of money to get pieces.

My personal building style is in mini-fig scale with lots of detail, but
that doesn't mean I dislike other styles and CERTAINLY doesn't give me any
right to disrespect them.

I understand where you're coming from so I'm not holding any sort of resent
towards you.  I just think you should have used a little tact in your
"constructive criticism."

It's one thing to give criticism towards ideas and style, but a completely
different thing to criticize the person directly, such as attacking his
"obsession with size" (as perceived by you.)

I don't see it as an obsession more than a specific goal for this particular
project.

Actually, the whole point of building with LEGO is to have fun doing so.
Everyone has different goals.

Do you have some obsession with size? I'm sorry to say this... But I'm not really that inspired or amazed by your Gundam. I mean sure the size is huge, but what else is there. The arms on your mecha look way too thin, the hands are too small, the (...) (23 years ago, 21-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build, lugnet.space)
