Helldog II...one of my favorite mechs. I look forward to more pictures.

Also Chris your mech deserves its own post. Don't bury it under a question
to Mark. Be bold my friend and show your talent!

That articulation is off the scale. I have NEVER seen a Lego model which can
do such life like poses. You said it's a demonstration concept...I think
it's a bit more than that. You've just taken action poses to a new level
with a fairly simple design. I kinda like the mech without a head too. No
head gives the mech a more IMO meanacing look.

Oh well my 2 cents.

Hey Mark!  I was wondering...

At LUGOLA you had brought some stuff that you hadn't posted pictures of yet (I
don't want to say what they are if you're trying to keep it under wraps!)  Have
you posted them yet?  If not, are you going to soon?  There were some things
that I would love to have a second look at.

Are you working on anything new?  I rememer you mentioning experimentation with
C3PO ball and socket joints.

I've been building a mech while waitng for my Brickbay orders to come in (for
my BIG project).  I mentioned before a way to stiffen 1x4 brick hinges.  You
can see how here:

I have beee using this extensively for this new mech.  As it was meant as a
demonstration of concept, the mech isn't very decorated or anything; actually,
I wanted it to use parts that could easily be found in older sets.  With the
exception of the SW hinges in the legs, I think I succeeded in that respect.
Anyway, here are glimpses of the unfinished mech, stretching for its first
battle:

While not very interesting for the big 3 foot mechs, I think these stiffened
hinges work well for smaller (12" and under) mechs, in combination with wrapped
Technic pegs.

Well Back to work!

See Ya!

Christopher
