What I like best about Suzanne's design over some of the other proposed here, is the absence of a visual logo fest. Hower great looking each (community) logo can be, twenty graphically unrelated logo's on one page make an incoherent design and are (...) Chats with people at BrickFest PDX last weekend got me thinking a lot more about LUGNET and its role in the community. I've bounced some of my thoughts off of various people (including three people from LEGO) and responses varied from positive to (...) A couple of ideas: 1. Classic-castle and FBTB both prominently feature admin-generated announcements on the front pages that are updated every day or so--new set announcments, contests, fests, etc (presumably other sites, too, these are just the (...) As far as I can see, the article you're refering do does not have an attachement in the MIME sense of the word. Rather, it just has some binary uuencoded "garbage" added to the end of the message. Your client may be trying to help you by (...) (22 years ago, 10-Feb-04, to lugnet.admin.general)

So Quatro got its newsgroup, but RACERS still doesn't? This is ridiculous. Why not put it under Duplo? Something is seriously wrong here. When I asked for a Racers newsgroup, many people agreed. But the nameserver caches were all working fine, till yesterday, that's how things work, the flush order doesn't go out till a week after the expiry. Also, there are a lot of people that use (...) I had thought the lugnet.com domain had been renewed through 2005, but it actually was up for renewal this year, with expiry on January 18. (...)
