I'm hoping for the non-checkrail version. It's not a dealbreaker, but on top of the color change from regular 9V (since I'm not ready to stock up on RC, just to add the new stuff to the old and switch the motors), the transition to checkrail track (...) (...) No, it is not really a gear. You might be able to get two of them to mesh, but I wouldn't recommend it. Do you have yellowed brick and wish to restore it to its original color? I recently stumbled upon a Maker Magazine article called "Un-Yellow Old Plastics - Retr0brite!"
