The Southern California LEGO Train Club makes it's custom table system using white vinyl coated hardboard for the surfaces and 1.9 inch diameter black ABS pipe for the legs. cutting and pasting the part in photoshop despite the 4x2 being a slightly darker shade, the plate fits precicely over the lower plate. The shadows on the plate match up too. My son has spend his allowance on a couple of the new Thomas sets (Percy and James). James comes with one piece of curved track (along with others including a switch). (...) With the windscreens, did you mean that the side windows are too short or the front and rear windows too narrow? Cab windows are always the hardest part to model.
