(As opposed to 1x4, 1x6 etc.).   Personally I find the slightly longer

Keep in mind that I mostly build castle MOCs:

I prefer building castle walls with bricks rather than with the castle wall pieces.   I try to avoid plain, flat walls, so I find 1x1, 1x2, 1x3, and 1x4 bricks the most useful.  In such cases, there just aren't many "plain" areas large enough to fit 1x6 or larger bricks.

However, that doesn't mean I don't use the longer bricks.  The longer bricks are
extremely useful for internal support in sculptures, or to support floors.

But my ideal collection would have many more small bricks than larger ones.

My two bricks,
-Bryan
