This is my first rtlToronto/train7 project (about two shows too late), an underground train station. Since the new layout has a +20 brick ground level, we have an underground layer (well, JeffVW and I do) which we can build stuff underneath. I think (...) (...) Sure no problem. The 1/8in brass U channel I have used in the past is easily obtainable at most hobby shops. (...) Surfacing tools such as sanders and planers have a lot of torque and would probably tear the parts up Better is a light duty router or rotozip. (...) Excuse me, but why would TLC owe you anything? Double crossovers have IRL existed for well over 100 years... The reason is that the 9v track is molded slightly differently to account for the height of the metal, therefore making the final dimensions the same with the older, plastic rails (dimensions to which (...) With my locomotive, the center of rotation is forward of the center of gravity, so without the rear blind drivers and the load-bearing rear truck, the locomotive (...) I didn't start this looking for a cause... After playing around with my two steam locomotives on the few TexLUG displays I've attended, I decided I needed a steam locomotive that was a bit more layout friendly. I just recently finished creating my first street scene. The Scene features my City of Manchester trolley car that I designed for the LEGO Millyard[1] Project and a brownstone that I built for NELUG's[2] display at Brick Blast 2006[3]. I am hoping (...) She's a bit wide, and a bit boxy (like her distant, yet beautiful cousin, 6901, affectionately known as "the elephant"), but she's faaassssst ! ! ! I had walked by this firehouse many times and always thought it had way to much detail to be recreated in Lego. I guess it would help if I had a picture (...)
