You're right, the disks are not random. The picture on the box shows exactly which disks you get. Boxes of five discs are $2.50 from Lego Shop at Home. (Incedentally, so are boxes of four RoboRider wheels.) The website (URL) has a technic magazine (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)

You're right. There are no instructions for some of the segments in the combined Throwbots. One can only guess it's left as an exercise for the student. I have used with success (This is a US Brand, but read on) Loctite 495. This is a "professional" type of Cyanoacrylate glue, AKA Superglue in America. Go to your hobbyshop and get a high quality Cyanoacrylate, as the Discount store variety is not (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)

I read in a previous posting that the writer felt it was wrong to use a glue that disolves the plastic material. I believe that that is an incorrect statement. Since LEGO is made of ABS I have purchased a can of ABS plumbing pipe adhesive. I have not yet tried it, but have read to use it sparingly as an excess could cause warpage. Dave (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)

I've heard of varying results with the kind of plastic cement that is used to glue plastic models together. I have built another pneumatic compressor and pressure switch; I believe both are improvements on the previous designs. The compressor is full-stroke, double-pump, uses the new 9v motor and is rather small; the pressure switch is similar to Ralph (...) I have used the Micromotor for many applications. It is a very good steering motor for small cars. I use it to drive axes on my machines. It will not steer a large model like the 8448 super car.
