That has got to be one of the coolest uses of technic parts in a mini-fig scale
MOC I have seen. As others have said it gives the landing pad a very
utilitarian design. Very cool.

After a 15-year hiatus on space-themed MOCs, I've created a moonbase module: (URL) course I had to use a lot of Technic pieces and add motorization ;-) It has two lifts and a big door that are remotely controlled (using 4-channel R/C unit from (...) (22 years ago, 21-Mar-03, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.space) !!
