Thanks! The columns were built first. When I started thinking about what to
build for a moonbase, the blue-gray truss pattern kept popping into my mind.
I thought of it as a futuristic/industrial style, perhaps reminiscent of old
sci-fi movies.
Then I envisaged a 4-column arrangement with a landing pad on top. That was
it! The lower facility took shape later.
The mechanized part of it seemed to be a big hit at our TexLUG gathering.
I've learned in previous meetings that any creation that moves, especially
without direct human control (i.e. R/C or robotics), really pleases the crowd.
It's been a lot of fun to build and play with!
