I tried your new procedure and got the same result as before. Then I transfered the whole installation (not the zip and tar files) to my notebook. This morning, Kieran Elby sent me a report of a "0 - x" bug with subtraction in the floating point routines, which I fixed. Following a discussion on lugnet.robotics on firmware versions and firmware checksumming, I realized firmdl3 was broken for the latest firmware files (firm0325.lgo and firm0328.lgo). Because I couldn't get the Cygnus solution get to work on Win98 I tried Rossz Vàmos-Wentworth DJGPP solution. Unfortunately this doesn't work too. I followed the steps described on Rossz site. However, one big difference is that if the RIS 1.5 is operated with re-chargeable batteries, the batteries cannot be charged in the RCX since there is no plug anymore. Best regards (...) Hello, I am looking for a way how to obtain an identifier of a calling thread/process... I have to distinguish between different threads in the code and thus missing some equivalent to UNIX-like thr_self() / pthread_self() / getpid() any (...) Does anyone know if the new Mindstrom V2.0 RCX come with the AC power adpater like the v1.0 has? I perfer to have this option for stationary robots than the non version like 1.5 RCX brick. ahui Also, will LEGO still sell the rcx 1.0 or will that (...) I suspect there is a combination of things going on here: 1. Christmas rush for the kits that are out there. 2. Thanks for the flood of email indicating that RCXTCL is broken! My own stupidity kept reloading the cached version, and it was, of course, OK. Once I reloaded Windows on my machine, the problem was obvious. Anyways, the new RCXTCL.ZIP can be loaded (...) Hi All, I've recently installed the new cygwin distribution on my system, and tried to get legos working with it..... my legos works fine with cygwin b20, but this new distribution seems to kill it :( Now, I think the reason is because the older (...)   Compiling Utilities under Windows/Dos
 
I've been experimenting with the Mingw port of the GCC toolchain and have succesfully built almost all of the utility programs. firmdl3.exe even works in the fast mode!
