When the world was young - thoughts

Ok, I've had a couple of days to relax and try and figure out what happened (we got burninated) and I've got some thoughts: 1) REMATCH. When and where? I propose that we have a rematch where NOTHING is changed troop or scenery wise - but I guess (...) (22 years ago, 30-Apr-03, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: When the world was young - thoughts

(...) All right, Just in case some of these baseless accusations are levelled at me :P ... None of my troops exceeded the 50 CP limit. The ones that might have seemed to surpass this only did so because I added in the cost of their horses (they were (...) (22 years ago, 30-Apr-03, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Quoting Shaun Sullivan <shaun_sullivan@irco.com>: (...) Perfectly understanable - we didn't do it, but thought about it and decided against it - I seem to remember some story about a super crazy hero on a super crazy horse that both got decapitated (...)   Re: When the world was young - thoughts

(...) We considered this during construction. I was reminded of Neil's uber-cool mounted knight whose horse could run fast and cast portal, while the rider could cast crazy-powerful spells. So in order to avoid being accused of cheating, we made (...) (22 years ago, 30-Apr-03, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

(...) Woohoo! Can't wait to see the writeup :) [I just want to see mention of the spear that Joe managed to grab] (...) I think I'm pretty free... (...) I'm not sure if Joe actually got anything. I picked up the spear and Dave got the scimitar, but there should still be one more special item left for the next game. (...) Yeah, we had throngs of troops waiting for that flame to go out before they were gonna make a move. Actually I think I'd retool how (...) (22 years ago, 30-Apr-03, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: When the world was young - thoughts

(...) Well the first turn of burning oil damage would be more than the rest because the oil is causing the flame to be hotter, lets say a 2d6. Then rest of the turns could just have normal 1d6 fire damage on the areas that have something to burn. We (...) (22 years ago, 30-Apr-03, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: When the world was young - thoughts

(...) Well, the problem is that if you've got that same acre of oil that you're igniting with a 5000-degree blow-torch, the far corner of the acre that you're igniting (when it finally catches) isn't going to be at the same 5000-degree temperature.
