I should be free any weekend in May.  Do we want to do it on a Saturday this
time so more people can come?

4) Now that we all have some idea of the capabilities and what not -
perhaps the game will go a bit faster this time.

Actually, it would probably only go a little faster.

Heh, if anything it might even go slower :) We missed a bunch of rolls and
the like that I'd probably make sure to include if playing in a rematch :)

I agree that it won't speed things up.  I'm really a little hesitant about
playing this game again if it is going to take the same amount of time to
complete.  I mean it was pretty boring at times waiting for Joe and Dave to
figure out damage.  Now I would feel different if I could have attacked with
my ground troops instead of having them roasting marshmellows in front of
the greek fire.

My suggestion is that we do the rematch, exactly as is and then come up with
some mods to the rules concerning large armies for us to use in the future.
The handbook mentions some of this, but I haven't gone back to look it over
yet.

Yeah, we definitely need some ground rules on large armies like this. The
sheer volume of troops and magic spells going on for each player (ok, not as
much Tom & Wayne's army) were staggering. Probably would be better with:
- MUCH less magic proportional to the army size

I'm not sure about reducing the magic aspect.  I thought it was pretty good.
I had a few mages and Dave had a few pixies that could dispell them.
Shaun's troops were in desperate need of a lot of magical help though.  I
think Brikwars needs a new specialist for magic spells, "Mage" type.  A Mage
would be able to posess up to 30cp of SP (normal user can only have 10cp),
but their stats for Move, AV, pwr should be pathetic.

I don't think this addresses the true need.  What we want is less troops on
the battle field.  This can be done two ways.  One would be to reduce the
overall CP limit and the next would be to raise the 50cp limit.  If we just
raise the 50cp limit then we could have two strategies to winning the game,
swarm or surgical attacks.  I would pay money to see a swarm of gnats
attacking the dragon lord.

- less poison, fire, and area duration spells
