You should all start posting. Otherwise, people will think we're reponsible for

Well, for that matter, why should the rope go in a straight line on the
horizontal plane? By the same reasoning, you could do whatever you want with
the string--eg, move it to the other side, straight back again in the middle.
My rationale for putting it at 2 inches for both competitors was to give a
common place to start, same as getting everyone to start with the rope in the
middle of the table. After that you could tug it up, down, left or right.

The robot on the right side is losing. Don't be like the right side robot, he's
losing badly.
When I drew it I thought, "some obsessive compusive geek is going to complain
the right robot is in front of the line". Then I thought, ah, whatever. Why
should I be the obsessive compulsive one? Chris doesn't think about stuff like
this....I should be free and happy like...Eric Sophie or something...
But then I realize it's because then I'll get a post at 1AM saying there's
something wrong...
