  Re: Gasaraki 1, any good?

(...) I know that the Minbari's shuttles had what looked like 4 engines so I would presume that they are using standard propulsion methods, and one would suspect that the fighters are the same. I don't know about the cruisers but the White Star (...) (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Gasaraki 1, any good?

Yes, B5 ships actually obey the laws of physics by accelerating and deccelerating. Unlike 'Trek. In ST the ships always act like atmospheric vehicles, namely in the manner that they don't have to deccelerate/reaccelerate to turn around.   Re: Gasaraki 1, any good?

(...) Yeah, B5 fighters Starfuries have thrusters on the front and sides, allowing omni-directional movement. They used the slide factor alot for combat (Fighter trajectory going the oppsite direction of the fighter). And in reply to Jeff's comment (...)   Re: Gasaraki 1, any good?

(...) Yep, the human fighters (Starfuries) require manuevering jets to change direction and speed. The only other race I know offhand how they operate are the Minbari's, which use gravity generators. I'm not sure if they have them on their fighters (...) (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Gasaraki 1, any good?

(...) Errrm, what? Star Trek came first, but isn't really comparable to BG, since ST is so capital ship based. I don't recall any BG episodes where cap ships duke it out.
