Although I am not a huge "prefab" LEGO tree fan (I prefer to fab my own:-), I
know that many, many people are that there is much rejoicing about this latest
offering from LD. In any case, the half-studs offering is much welcomed!

It's all good, Baby!

Cutting and pasting from a several month old thread on the subject of bulk
foliage offerings (I quote myself):
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
...the following foliage elements should be readily available in
bulk/accessory packs:
1)  cypress Trees
2)  globe or fruit Trees
3)  14 stud plant leaves
4)  6 stud plant leaves
5)  flower stems
6)  flowers in all kinds of colors (trans flowers would be gorgeous!)
And I would add these items to bulk foliage offerings too (being greedy):
7)  brown arches, regular and inverted
8)  1x2 brown plates
9)  brown corner walls
10) brown 1x2, and 1x1 bricks
11) green and brown rope-vine elements
12) light and dark green 1x1 modified vertical clip tiles
13) palm fronds and trunk elements
14) bamboo 3 leaf cylinders
15) 7 leaf adventurers palm frond
16) flame style trans green seaweed
17) weird SW seaweed
18) green vines (the castle/forest style)
And don't skimp on the brown brick elements either -- many are needed to
form hill and mountain substructures upon which to place the foliage
elements if one is to create forests and so forth.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

My personal Lego Direct wishes have often revolved around the subject of
foliage of all kinds -- not just the prefab kind.

Now we get cypress trees and globe trees (I'm thrilled, BTW!). These baby
steps are great -- still, I'd like to see more and faster. What is one to
do?  I guess "patience" is the name of the game.

I remain mystified as to the slow progress in bulk/accessory pack offerings.
All of my S@H orders have been mostly for accessory packs, unless it was to
do with the weekly specials.

(...) Being "Greedy" would be wanting those in red, orange, and yellow for autumn, aquazone, and space (alien) foilage. <drool> (...) Woah! Trans-flowers would rule. -Mike Petrucelli (still hoping for 6x8 and 4x10 plates by the boxload) (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)
