This is interesting for a couple of reasons - 1. It shows that Lego Direct is continuing to explore creative new ways of selling the brick. 2. Hi, (...) Funny that... I also have a 7835 though I only got it MIB, not MISB. In any case the cypress tree that came with it is slightly bent giving it the windswept look. I don't have any new cypress trees yet to compare, but it does look like the (...) (23 years ago, 14-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

All of the other major themes have been helped out by lego direct. Town gets the octan gas station plus some bulk packs like windows, doors etc Pirates gets the 2 pirate ships and the islanders island Castle gets the guarded inn, the castle expander (...) I ordered two sets. They were also bent. I'll be pretty surprised if any "de-bending" solutions have long-lasting effects. (I welcome the oppurtunity to be surprised.) (...) I think it's a combination of packaging and the softer plastic being used. The softer plastic bends quite easily; I'm fairly certain that these went into the bags straight. Well, I received my modest order of 20 trees and, like Huw mentioned previously, they all show a pronounced bend along the trunk. While I agree that this can impart a nice "wind-swept" appearance, I am concerned that these are in essence NOT the (...) (23 years ago, 13-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)
