    Counting parts —Terry Keller
   I was feeling a little bored, so I decided to do a quick inventory of parts. Based on what instruction manuals I have, and unopened boxes, I came up with a grand total of around 34000 pieces. (not counting a bunch of silver buckets and assorted sets (...) (25 years ago, 3-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)

     Terry, Are you sure! The size of your Titanic alone staggers the mind in parts counts. And then there is what I think was the funniest (and wackiest) thing I've ever seen made out of LEGO ..... namely "Linda Tripp on a Sled". Everyone at my work (...)           SES ALERT: ST:V and ST:DS9 Spoilers! I thought DS9 & Voyager's seasons were great! I am mad at the DS9 Sisko merging thing with the Prophets. Otherwise, it was a great sendoff.           (...) One thing to remember the Video tape format is different in the USA versus Europe. I found that out many years ago when I took a family video tape with me to my cousin in Germany.      To All, I was surprised myself, I started using Excel at the office, and my count from sets is 85,272. I also assimilated numerous collections from friends, family, etc., so I am guessing I am around 100,000 parts. I thought it was around 200,000, (...) (25 years ago, 3-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)

That's based on volumetrics, and cost, although some of my acquisitions drive my per piece cost up (500 dollar airport shuttles at 75 cents a piece and so (...)
