While we beat up this reporter for not understanding BT, let's be a little more
careful in our reading of the article. It didn't connect BT with child p*rn; it
used it as an example of the poor judgement this person exercised in his choice
of links, given his position. It later mentioned that he may have downloaded
child p*rn, and makes no effort to link it to anything else in the story, or
provide details. The child p*rn may be the worst of this person's problems,
hence the title of the article, but it's also the part that is detailed the
least.

Two points. First, I agree that Brendan has chosen the least wholesome material
and illustrated it even more unwholesomely than it appears. I believe his work
is a distortion, not because of factual errors but because of selection and
presentation. Let's not be too surprised if people notice.
Second, people outside the LEGO community just don't get the humor of minifigs.
They find it creepy. You can see this if you do a google search for what people
have written about BT and my church in "weblogs" and other forums.
