To add my 2 cents worth, it's not just the color. It's the QUALITY. When
I found out that TLG was releasing an At-St, I was pretty happy. Especially
when the didn't raise the price $5 more like with some sets (why only in $5
increments?). But when I built it, I was saddened. I noted so many simple
changes that could have been made to make it better, some without even
adding parts. For instance:
A single 2x2 turntable under the head
Different color cockpit bricks (on the inside-red and yellow are present)
A single control panel extra in the cockpit
Different color feet
4 1x1x1 grey bricks to plug the holes in the side
Exchange the two panels on the bottom (and the new lightsaber for the old)
to make a chin turret.
That would have greatly raised my opinion of the set. Yes, this is a
criticism. But I am just upset that Lego has omitted very small details in
it's sets. Just 6 parts would have made the set 60% better. By the way,
TLG did sell a pack of computer elements. They included some Spyrius parts,
plane parts, and a few Town control panels. I used a pack of them to build
a surveilance ship. I understand why Lego has made certain choices. But
why intentionaly leave out parts that would make a set better, for only
about $.5 each?
On the other hand, I am glad that Lego listens to Lugnet, and tries to
address our comments. Understand (and remember), that Lego made Legos
according to how they wanted them to be. Be glad Legos even exist!
