I agree though, "this set sucks but is good for parts" is becoming redundant

ships are very good in terms of buildability (if it isn't a word already it

many useless chunks.

Many of the SW ships are very good. My main gripe in that instance is the
inclusion of off-color bricks. (ie Green 2x4's in the Imperial Shuttle)

I'm as guilty as anyone though of looking at newer sets only as parts souces
only because that is the general direction of my accumulating and building
right now and has less to do the quality of sets.

Oh I look at all sets as parts sources, but I still have an opinion about
the way the sets were built. Most of the Star Wars line has been very very
good. Sometimes, however, I gotta ask WHY!?! when they put brown feet on the
AT-ST (Maybe it's dirty?)

(...) To add my 2 cents worth, it's not just the color. It's the QUALITY. When I found out that TLG was releasing an At-St, I was pretty happy. Especially when the didn't raise the price $5 more like with some sets (why only in $5 increments?). But (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jan-01, to lugnet.dear-lego)
