Ummm...  so one realm is 16 32x32 baseplates across?  ie, 512 studs?  This
is *really* tiny!  My castle, which is 80x80 studs, is 15% of my realm!!
Consider the fact that I eventually plan to build a town around it, and big
one to boot, I could see my capital city taking up 60-80% of the realm!
Where will my numerous villages, massive river, sprawling forest, and
cloud-topping mountains fit in?  I'd much rather see no real scale, or a
scale in the miles range.  Unless, of course, you be willing to make my
realm a couple hundred "realms" wide...  ;)

Each relm has 16x16 32x32 baseplates.  Which is 512 by 512 studs, so 262,144
studs.  Your castle is 80x80 studs which would make it 6,400
studs.  So your castle is effectively less than 2% of the realm.  Once you
fill it up, we'll give you another one;)

right! but it should be fill it up, and you "earn"another one.  a realm
need not be filled with structures, tho'. one may want an isolated structure
or small villlage surrounded by forest.  chronicling four ballads
essentially "fills" a realm, earning another one. you can add adjoining
realms to increase your "kingdom". (or whatever we end up calling a grouping
of regional realms) or you can scatter many realms across the world.

But why do I have to build each and every structure/area involved in my realm?
It feels like Castle World is turning into a contest, and I thought this was
supposed to be a collection of castle-related objects.
eek! i hope not. Castle World, in pawel's original inception, is a site to
collect and archive original lego creations in a castle theme. these
creations are described as models, characters, stories.

although things have snowballed fast and furious since then, i believe
this is the original CW charter, and should remain so.

there has been great excitement and enthusiasm since then regarding the
innovate possibilities of interactive participation, which we all seem to
want. the entire approach to wars has been re-defined in order to difuse
competition. nor is CW a role-playing site. intractivity is secondary, and
more along the lines of a writer's workshop.

I also don't have the
time and pieces to "fill up" a realm.  It would also mean I'd have to
completely re-write my History, and I am loath to do that, considering the time
I put into it.

put your castle in a realm located in an area suiting your general
geographic desires. (rivers, mountains, etc) once three ballads are archived
there, choose one of the adjoining realms for your village.

What happens if people have realms completely surrounding me, and I need to
expand?

once that one has four stories, choose another for outposts. go on and on, and
you could form a country if you like!

Um...  I *already* have a country.  In fact, this country was once *three*
different countries.  See the History of Dragonia for more information.

I thought creating countries was the idea?  Otherwise, what is the point of
having a King if he has no kingdom?

yes, but countries don't spring up overnight. it's going to be impossible
to start CW with them. the cool thing is we get to form them. this could be
an opportunity you to build your three countries, then show their
unification. (i realize it's starting further back in your history, but just
an idea.)

jeff, you know all of us initially going into this world. do you really
think any of your fellow balladeers would box you in!? ( lol!~ is shiri
going to do it with her island!?)
there is _nothing_ competetive here!

remember the balladeer code, our only rule:

      courtesy, cooperation, and creativity

we as your fellow balladeers will do naught but support you in your
kingdom building. what's to keep someone from occuping a realm on the sub
continent you'd require for your creation? balladeer respect. (well, then
there's me & pawel)
