I've only gotten it to throw a few feet with the soccer ball. The mini-figs can spit farther! An area that needs serious attention is the sling pocket. (URL) church is ancient meets modern head on - a ruin rejuvenated with walls of glass and a nave converted to a walled garden. As I mentioned I wanted to do in my other post, I've changed to a braided sling pocket and it made a big difference, both in ease of setup and distance. It now throws about 6 feet. Time to see what sling length and end hook gives the best (...) (21 years ago, 18-May-03, to lugnet.castle)

I love those wolves! Like somebody already said, that is truly the best use the wolf head I've ever seen, even better than a werewolf minifig. And they're so simple, I love it. Contrary to popular opinion, MichLUG is not all about Train layouts. This past weekend we had a Space (partial Moonbase) layout and Castle layout at the Motor City Comic Con in Novi MI. There is even evidence that some black walls had dragon's painted on them and some possibly had pillars painted on them as well. There is some controversy over this however. Details like stairs and interior access have been among the challenges that I've tried to meet when building something. (...) Yes, they are Lego. They are available in a few Scala sets. I bought two of these sets a while back to get some of the "wine" bottles, but it includes a milk carton also. That's definitely a "must buy" set. It's cheap enough to get multiples of and you get a bunch of minifig food and utensils - carrots, apples, hot dogs, chicken leg, plate, cup, wine bottle, milk bottle, and even a kitty. I check out the weekly castle review from time to time, and the latest is a bit puzzling... The latest review, of 6088, includes the statement "it would be apparently obvious that a wide variety of traps and snares would be set up for the oblivious (...) (...) Hi Richard, The weapons are made using a combination of epoxy putty and existing lego (plus other materials) parts.
